Fixing Dad, the documentary made by two sons about their father and his diabetes, is going to be shown on BBC2 at 10pm on Sunday. They are being interviewed on The One Show this evening.
Thought it rang a bell - it's a nice storyI posted a link to that last month @AtkinsMo . The video was shown at the PHCUK Conference, and the oys and Dad were all there. It's rather moving.
Oldvatr, I think we have to remember this piece is a bit of docu-journalism, and a bit like the Doctor In Your House series and others. I, personally, don't believe that a programmes that went into his readings, details of his diet and so on, would hold a lay audience, whereas this video, and the like, can give a message that for some people, with hard work and perseverance, can achieve good results. I know I keep going on about it, but those affected by Diabetes, and the like, need hope, to promises. I think this video gave a message of hope and could have pricked the curiosity genes of a few people.Veni, vidi, vinci.
Yup,inspirational but did not explain enough over what he did apart from argue and cycle. Glad they kept the result to 'resolved' not 'CURED'
