I take Metformin & Gliclazide & Sitagliptin for Type2 bs and recently bs has been raised (before dieting and flax). Albeit the doctor is aware of bs issues, I have this last couple of weeks reduced Carb intakes dramatically and also dieting and started taking FlaxSeeds in some low GI recipes. Im this evening getting web search infos suggesting those pills mentioned above dont go well with flaxseed. I will discuss with doctor next week but they prefer I go Insulin or Byetta. I personally want to look at nature for some answers thus Flax etc. Anyone in a similar situation of crossed this issue earlier in their living with Type2. Flax and diet was bringing bs down nicely when taken alongaide those abive pills. I also take blood pressure pills and Statin.I had hoped Flax may help. Now baffled. Thoughts

Are you being a bit too reliant on Flax? If you are on the three tablets I was on and still not controlling your blood sugar then I'm afraid insulin or Byetta may be round the corner. If you can keep the carbs and portions down you may be able to avoid Byetta and just go on to insulin; it's much easier than you may fear.

Hi. My HBa1C went up from just over 7% to 8.3% in 6 months so it was obvious my pancreas was failing. I was getting sugar readings quite often going into the teens despite low-carbing so the tablets were no longer working. If you do have to go onto insulin the good news is that once again you can eat more normal food and more often weight permitting. I'm lucky and never put on weight.
