I often make flaxseed porridge using 1 1/2 tbsp flaxseed and 1/2 tbsp chia seeds, this amount for me is very filling. Sometimes I'll fancy a bit of a change so then I reduce the flaxseed to 1 tbsp and add ground almonds or oatbran but my total dry ingredients is 2 tbsp. I think 4 tbsp flaxseed maybe too much.

I think the recommended amount of flaxseed per day is 1 tablespoonful or 15g. More than that and your bowels will complain. I mix mine in with a full fat yogurt (100g) and either 2 strawberries cut up or 6 raspberries. However, not for breakfast - too many carbs for me at that time of day. I have it for a pudding after tea, but not every day.
My daily home-made muesli contains lots of different nuts, together with milled flaxseed, chia seed and psyllium husk powder. It's one of my ways of staying regular...but I really like it as well.

Here it is, but I tinker with it all the time. I eat 50g for breakfast.
It is 561kcals, 48.9g fat, 2.8g carbs, 21.0g fibre, 16.9g protein per 100g.
I have it with Alpro Original unsweetened, 250g.
