Yes, it's a genuine text and there is a reply link which I didn't include in the screen shot. Yes, some texts are 'noreply' if it's just an advisory, but they obviously want to make sure I got this.Just as a comment, my surgery never wants me to reply to their texts, is it actually a proper text from your docs/surgery?
I think it's because this medication puts a bit more demand on the kidneys (in the way it works) and during COVID you'd want as much kidney function as possible to fight it. MHOFrom my reading around the covid subject I think this may be because of a raised dka risk with these meds during covid illness. I’d suggest anyone on them checking it out for themselves and with their dr though rather than panic’ing. Information is choice.
