I am T2, since 2006. I take metformin 1000g and vildaglipton 50mg twice daily, plus amlodipine, perindropil, simvastatin & aspirin.

Bloods usually around 6, cholestrol <4, BP 125/70. So all good.(compared to 2006 anyway  )

Had flu jab last week, as I do every year.

This week been feeling progressively worse and worse in myself, got the horrible metallic taste back in the mouth, general feeling of cr4ppyness and my BG has gone up to over 8. I have booked to see my GP, just in case (quick check never hurts  )

This didn't happen previously with the flu jab and I just wondered if anyone else has had similar?

I had mine last week with thankfully no payback whatsoever. I've been offered the Pneumonia jab in 2 weeks, Anyone have anything to pass on about that?

I had the Pneumonia jab last year with no side effects apart from a sore arm for a few days :D

Had flu jab last week. No effects, not even sore arm. I like that nurse 8)
Had pneumonia jab a couple of years ago and no ill effects either.

Some people have a very active immune system, which responds strongly to immunisation. It's a good thin really, it means if you do encounter a virus, you deal with it quickly.

I've had the same! I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago, first week of treatment seemed to be working swimmingly and then I had the jab 1 week ago and have had the horrible taste in my mouth, been sniffly, and generally feeling a bit rubbish ever since! Only difference is my blood sugar levels have gone right down instead of up which is odd!
