Flu notifications

Yes that’s it, I get various text messages asking me to book my vaccination. I’ve already had one a few weeks ago I’ve told my surgery that A) I don’t want a flu jab and B) to stop texting me to ask me but I still get them every year.

My son who is not diabetic had a very rare side effect from the flu vaccine last year. He had a very high temperature within 24 hours of having the jab and shortly after this noticed that one of his pupils stayed small even in a dim light. He had several tests and check ups to make sure nothing more sinister was behind this, nothing was found. It was likely to be a mild case of Guillain Barre syndrome which can in rare cases be triggered by the flu vaccine. However if he had had the flu his symptoms would have been much worse.
My son had this year's vaccination a week ago and apart from feeling a little off colour for a day or so has had no reaction this time.

Thanks I’ve tried this, there’s no option for flu just Covid which I’ve already opted out from. Thanks though for you help.

If you would like to stop receiving flu vaccination invitation or reminders, please email the NHS England Customer Contact Centre at [email protected]

If you have used this email address as directed and it hasn’t worked, then how about contacting your GP Practice Manager. Or the NHS PALS at your local Integrated Care Board?

Alternatively, I usually find if I ignore unwanted alert messages, (I often get automated reminders to make appointments, even if I already have) the messages cease, eventually.

Edited to add:
@Sarah69, Is it possible that as a frontline Health worker your employer is applying pressure on you to have the vaccines? It is not mandatory, and you do have the option to choose.
