Hello.
Can anyone enlighten me as to which products they have used to beat Flu. Bearing in mind sugar contents and high B/sugar readings when we have the flu? Is there a safe to use product with no sugar contents. I am recovering from a severe infection , and worry about any problems afterwards..

Only truly ever had flu once, just took paracetamol, plenty of fluids (extra insulin as I'm type 1) and bed rest to ease things, you can't beat flu once you get it but you can make it more bearable.

I just had the flu, doctor gave me antibiotics (Augmentin), Pacofen (Paracetamol with Codeine). Since I can't have any cough medicine with pseudoephedrine or other antihistamines due to a prostate condition, I asked for Dextrometorphan syrup, sugar-free of course (Tussidex).

No effect on BS for me. Read somewhere Dextrometorphan might be good for diabetes.
