Hi There,

My husbands has been taking diamicron, glucophage and avdimet for type 2 diabetes however recently the diabetes doctor changed him onto 2x Janumet, 4 x diamicron (slow release) an asprin, a lipotor and 1 coversyl. His blood sugar levels are soaring varying from 8-10 in the mornings (before food) to 13+ in the evening (and a scary 20 one evening) I am extremely worrried. Has anybody any experience in this area or any advice for me??

Thanks,

Ailbhen, Dublin.

Hi
Can you tell us what he is eating?
I can't really provide any help but I'm sure some-one else will soon

good luck

Geoff

Hi Ailbhen,
You really need to know what your husband is eating as it would seem that the high blood sugars are related to his sweet tooth!!
Is he worried about the high blood sugars or are you doing the worrying for him?
I know it is frustrating for you but if he doesn't see it as a problem there is not much that you can do about it.
Has he seen a dietitian or has the G.P. explained about diet?
