Flucloxacillin

Can Flucloxacillin affect blood glucose numbers? Have had a bad throat for over 6 weeks so got my practice nurse to take a throat swab not expecting anything to show but it did so reluctantly am taking the penicillin as I thought the infection could also be affecting my bgs - vicious circle comes to mind. :roll:

Had a quick look in the BNF60 and there is nothing mentioned so can only think that the infection is causing the problem......a common occurence. You will just have to wait till it is cleared up. Hope you feel better soon.
