Hi all! I'm fairly new to all this....diagnosed late last year, finally found to be type 1 after being sick for awhile. Can you please share with me if even on insulin you find your readings can go from 4.0 to 20 during the day. I assume this is what is driving me to feel not so good most of the time.....and am still feeling like I should seek out more help than from my NHS dr. Trying to understand what is 'normal' for a diabetic.

Thank you!

Hi there,
what insulin do you take ,i was the same when on twice daily ,if you let us know we will be able to better advise :)

Hi, thank you! Guess that would obviously help. I take Levemir twice daily, generally 13 units. My fast acting is Novolog, generally taking 2 units before meals. Must admit I'm still finding my way through this and am desperate to understand what is 'normal' ....

Thank you again!
