Hey cdpm, Just wondering how you are doing.....haven't seen an update for a bit now....any new developments? Feeling any more control over things? You are in my thoughts and trust that you are able to give us an update. We really are here for you and want you to succeed with your diabetes....it can't be easy with everything you have to deal with, but, one day at a time is all any of us can do, right? Hang in there - Hugs&blessings/L
probably the worst part is binging on the hypo
foods
making no sugar source available nearby
i guess there just really isnt any hope
i havent had any professional help yet
but its not from a lack of trying to find it
been trying to stick with my 1 safe food
but its vegetables
and i hate them which is probably why
they are safe for me
not able to have any other foods nearby
which is embarassing to admit
that im such a pig
You are not a pig. What you are experiencing is not usual. You are dealing with something very, very difficult. Could you have Leptin issues?i havent had any professional help yet

I really don't think you are.... as @lucylocket61 has mentioned above it certainly sounds as if you have some problems with grehlin and leptin the "hunger" and "satiety" hormones. I have no idea how you get these checked out in Canada but that is what your story suggests to me. Is there any way you can get this looked at? It would help you considerably and then you can stop blaming yourself for something you may have no control over..which is embarassing to admit

Binge eating/food addiction is rarely about gluttony or greed. It's usually much more complex that that, and I'm sure you realise this.
When you say you're sticking with your safe food - vegetables, do you mean that's what you can keep at home (and bring in protein/fats) to eat with them, per meal?
My concerno, if you are living purely on vegetables would be that you would be ebale to get adequate nutrition from vegetables alone, over time. Of course, a brief period on only veggies isn't going top hurt anyone, but protein and fats are needed, longer term.
I really do feel for you.
