Hello i know this is a very hard question but i see lists of things not to eat, what is good for me ? I am type 2 on insulin with a sweet tooth. :?:

What's good for you........now that is the $64,000 question.

I too along with many here have a 'sweet tooth' .........I have just learned to curb that mostly. I want to control my Diabetes and improve my health. Which is more important ?? :)

Vegetables are good, fruit, small portions of unprocessed things such as butter, cheese, meats, salads etc. There are many foods, in my diet nothing is prohibited, just restricted. Portion size is very important to me. I use a low GI/GL diet and it works well for me. But, and a big but....YOU have to test to see what effect these foods have on you. What they do to me or others doesn't mean they are Ok for you.

It is what YOU like to eat, we all had to do this. There is no list here that will work for you. You have to make your own. We all had to work it out for ourselves. Some methodical analysis and recording of your results. then YOU will see what YOU can eat.

Pencil, paper, scales and meter at the ready ???

Hello Myrio. :)

As Ken says taste, test and see.

It is always better to work out what is possible and good for you so that you can stop thinking about the 'don't eat' list and concentrate on the 'good to eat' list. Eventually, if you cut out the sweet stuff, you will find that your sweet tooth will fade away and you will have good control. 8)
