For the past week I've had a weird tingling/pins & needles/numb feeling on the bottom of one foot. It runs from the ball to the heal, through the arch. It's there when using it and also at rest. I don't do any impact type sports (bike instead of run, etc.) and haven't gotten new shoes or anything either.
My question: When does this merit a visit to the doctor?
I would normally just ignore it, and am still hoping that this is just a stupid human trick that resolves on its own. But it's been a week and I didn't injure it in any way that I'm aware of, so since I've read that weird foot things and peripheral neuropathy are things to be aware of as diabetes complications, I'm wondering when it might actually be time to see someone. A month?
My last HbA1c was good (like not even PREdiabetes; lower 5%'s!), thanks to the combo of metformin and LCHF. But, I seem to get symptoms at relatively low levels and have gotten a number of weird things like frozen shoulder that aren't necessarily diabetes, but are associated and would be a pretty weird coincidence for me to have gotten at my age (under 40).
