Foot Pain

Hi please can someone help me with this.

i am a type 1 diabetic and have been for 13 years. recently i've been getting pain in my feet. my toes had pins and needles but that has stoped and they are fine now but the tops of my feet are extremely painful whenever i am sitting or resting my feet. however, when i am walking they are fine. i am really scared and don't know what to do. please can anyone help?

Speaking from my own experience this could be down to Diabetic Nueropathy, see here,

However, it could also have many other causes.

What you need to do is discuss this with your GP.

Hi karenpinktulip, i'd speak to your doctor or diabetic nurse as soon as possible, it may or may not be diabetes related(Diabetic Nueropathy) but either way you'll find out what it is. Stressing over this will only put your BS levels up.

if you have developed neuropathy, which is a possibility. You need to speak to a dotor or DSN.
You also need to keep Blood glucose in the safe zone[around 5]
What have your HbA1cs been lately and your routine BGs?
