Hi,

I’ve recently been diagnosed with a B12 deficiency. I have been on holiday recently and was wearing sliders that I didn’t realise were irritating my skin as bad as they were until I took them off.

Has anyone else had them before na show long will they take to heal? Am I ok to walk on them? I’m currently taking antibiotics for them.

Hi @Skitty. They look sore. Unless of course you have neuropathy to such severity that you have lost pain sensation?
How long they take to heal, would depend on several factors. Do you have diabetes? How well controlled? What, if any, medication?
We can’t give medical advice, though I would say they need to be kept as clean as possible. You need to discuss with podiatrist or other HCP, as they mayneed dressings.

I don’t have diabetes but have been diagnosed with a B12 deficency which in turn has led to neuropathy.

Currently having B12 injection to boost my levels back up.

I didn’t realise my shoes were rubbing me to the severity that they were.

Im using saline soloution and applying a clean dressing each day but I am scared to carry on with my daily activities.
