I find spuds don't spike me, nor does pasta, dark, sourdough rye bread etc.. What does spike me big time is rice. Although now, with my IR getting much much better, it's less and less. All in moderate quantities of course.A surprising number of people on here find exactly the same. Maybe spuds aren't the demons they are made out to be. Roasties, chips and new boiled are fine for me in small amounts. Mashed, jackets and stewed not so good although I haven't tried these for a long time.
