on metformin and Gliclazide just realised forgot to take them this morn is it something I need to panic over

and has anyone got any idiot proof ways of reminding them to take them
tested my levels before tea and it was 4.8

I am an idiot so I feel qualified to reply. There is a pill box that beeps and flashes a light. Mine has served me well but If I recommend it then people will say I sell them and I don't. It's got Tab Time Super 8 printed on it. Google it.

The advice I was given about missing pills is not to double up to catch up. Just accept you missed the pill and carry on from the next time.

Talk about Deja vu. A similar debate happened on here some time ago and the mobile phone idea was put forward then and it is a good idea, if you carry one.

There are a number of people who don't and most of them are in the older age bracket.

My bank said it would SMS me with a passcode for security measures and when I asked them if they would supply the phone they said no. Apparently mobile phones are now compulsory.

But, as I said, if you carry a phone why not use it for this.

If you had a bg level of 4.8, you've got no problem. You won't come to any harm! That's a normal non diabetic level. If you'd had your tablets, you might have had a hypo! Gliclazide can cause that. metformin normally can't
I occasionally forget plls too, even after 10 years. I keep them by the bed now, right next to my meter.

Get a pill box .. Chemists and online do a huge different variety of them. Some sites call them dosette boxes.. But they vary in size from 1 tablet 1 time a day for 7 days up to about 5 different timings of pills 7 days a week.
Rhen at least you know if and when you have taken them.

Only instructions feom medicines can tell you whether to take when forgotten or just to resume and forget your missed dose..
