I normally take 12 units of levemir before I go to bed which is around 10. I have just up this morning and realised that I didn't take it last night. What should I do?

Firstly, what is your BG?

I think I will wait for the T1s to advise. Do you normally take it once or twice a day, and are you also on a short acting insulin?

My guess is they will either suggest you call a HCP for advice, or make some sort of adjustment to your doses so that you don't end up with too much insulin on board tonight. Since you are 7.8 I wouldn't worry too much for the next few hours. It's more important to wait and use an accurate dose that doesn't make things worse, than it is to act quickly, IMO.

7.8 and I would if on two doses just take my morning dose and correct during the day if necessary.

If one dose I would half it and give a 1/2 sized dosage now...
Again I would be very careful as this could impact on the readings tonight if your insulin is lasting 24 hours.

In your position I would be contacting my DSN for their advice.

This is only what I would be doing... Obviously not knowing your body, doses or time of being a diabetic it is very hard to tailor whats written specifically to yourself..

I've forgotten it a couple of times and have managed through the day with extra bolus until my usual time for taking basal. But I'm on lantas so not sure if that makes a difference
