Important! Forum probably going offline for a while - Update

Folks, I have just been informed the forum (yes, the whole) forum is likely to go offline for a while today, whilst work is carried out.

The outage could be up to 24 hours, although the techies will endeavour to keep any outage time to a minimum. I just wanted to let you know in advance, to limit any frustrations later.

Hi Jim -They're working on things in the background, Jim, with a view to minimising any time with the full forum offline.
 
Just a quick update folks.

The guys have been doing sterling work in the background with the required changes to the website, meaning whilst we've had some general lagginess (Yes, I probably did just invent that), we haven't had the major outage that was felt necessary on Wednesday.

Over the weekend, we may experience the odd blip, when the forum "has a rest" or lagginess, but nothing major is anticipated.

It is hoped the work will be completed on Monday, and whilst it can't be assured there'll be no downtime, it is hoped, if required that the downtime could be kept to an hour or so.
