Hi,

I was hoping someone could help me out as a noobie to the boards? I've been prescribed a trial of forxiga on top of my long term metformin sr and glicazide and have been taking it now for almost 2 months and sorry TMI I've had thrush the whole time :( it's driving me crazy, I can't take it any more!! I can't believe a side effect could take over my life completely!! I want to stop taking it but have been told next step is injections and I'm really not sure where to go from here?

My 3 monthly bloods was 70 last check (blahhh forgot what it's called???) and my BG is all over the place from 10 - 17.4 so obviously nothing I'm taking is having a drastic differences on my levels anyhow? Do I phone the hospital and arrange to start injections or does the horrible side effects of forxiga ever actually stop?

Advice gratefully appreciated lol

Hi Mandi, as your bloods seem to be very high can you give us an idea of what you are eating. It is more than likely that your food is what is raising your levels so high. A can in food may help you.

Unfortunately we cannot tell you to stop taking your medicines as that needs to be your decision (possibly with the consultation with your doctor). Sorry to here about your issues with this drug
