Forxiga

Hi I've been on Forxiga for two weeks now, (plus 2000mg metformin) and am not seeing much of a reduction in blood glucose levels. My question is, should I be seeing a reduction by now?
I have however lost some weight, but not sure if this is because I was feeling quite nauseous for the first week.
Any comparisons would be welcome.

Many thanks

Steve

@steveshersby - I would give the Forxiga time to get into your system. (Metformin can take a couple of months before any effect is noticed). :)

@steveshersby - After 3 weeks how are your blood sugars now?

On forxiga for a week. My mmol/l post meal has significantly reduced from an average of 12-7.5
I always drink lots of fluids and low carb diet, therefore, no major complications so far

Ps advise:
LI have been on Dapa for more than two years and my HbA1c has stabilized below 6.0%. However, It gives me thrush on average 3-6 months. I would manage this with a dose of canesten single from the pharmacy.
When I hit 60 years, the pharmacists told me that the couldn’t continue to sell me the pill without a prescription from my GP
Despite this meds benefits I am considering swapping it to something less problematic. Anyone had this experience?
