Found a solution to my foot-on-the-floor!

Good point, probably only relevant to diet controlled type 2's. I made the mistake of not checking which sub-forum the post was in - sorry!

Oh no I hope I didn’t come across as rude, I genuinely don’t know how different foot on floor is for us all

I suffer from FOTF but intermittently to be honest these days I’ve found if I leave it alone and do nothing it sorts itself out yes my sugars a a bit elevated for a short while but nothing that’s early going to affect me long term , on the subject of pistachos my body totally refuses to eat only 6 or 7 it turns into the Incredible Hulk which is a nightmare because everything gets bigger except my trousers no wonder the poor guy use to scream a lot

Hi, thought I’d share this in case it works for anyone else! Since diagnosis two years ago I’ve always had the foot-on-floor rise and recently also a bit of dawn phenomenon too.
Since starting taking 6 or 7 pistachios at bedtime this has all stopped!
They are low GI and apparently also good for sleep too.
It could all be a weird coincidence but I now wake up and stay in range with no rise when I wake or get up.
Obviously don’t try this is you have a nut allergy but I’d be interested if it works for anyone else
The only thing that works for me is a 20-30 minute run as soon as I wake up
