2 x Cumberland Sausage Scotch Eggs £1. Slight peppery taste and doesn't taste like cardboard. Check the sugars 0.9g

Always look for carbs, I never looked at labels earlier but now nothing goes in my shopping trolley till I have checked the carbs on it
 
All food in the UK sold in packets has to show amounts of calories, carbs, protein, fibre and salt on the label. It has to show the grams per 100g plus a list of ingredients in the order of the amounts.. This is the law. Some also show the grams per slice/per sausage/per portion. Always read it!
 
I would think that the carbs were mainly from the breadcrumbs and less so from the sausage.

The emboldened engredients may be the culprits so
Breadcrumbs AND the rusk in the sausage!
 
The "free range Egg White' made me laugh a bit . Rather like a saint sitting there amongst all those other sinners.
