since Wednesday I have had a raging infection and toothache in my right side wisdom tooth - after seeing the dentist and having it taken out I am on the mend but....
from Wednesday until yesterday I lived totally on carbs! I never slept for 2 nights and felt sick all the time but was still hungry (nothing ever puts me off me grub! ) the GP told me to still take my meds and eat what I could - even got strips to test so I put them to good use and did some intensive testing and decided to eat what I fancied and could manage rather than eat what I should - a couple of days wasn't gonna kill me! I had some surprising results
I had porridge, bananas, mashed pots, tinned soup high in carbs - fish shop fish cakes, pobs (bread with butter and sweetener soaked in hot milk  )- tested every hour and never went above 6! - some 2 hr readings were in the high 3's
now in no way shape or form am I saying what I did was right and I certainly wont be carrying on like this - I am back on my normal regime from today.
I know all about fast acting carbs,GI ,peaks troughs bla bla bla but testing every hour I would have expected to catch me on the way up or down but no
just wondered what peoples thoughts are on this?
