Just been on the accu check web- site and we are allowed free batteries every 3 months if you have a accu check machine .I also asked for a spare pen which they sent for free .just thought I would let people no as batteries can get expensive

Accu-Chek are great for customer service, they also supply the control solution and bg record books free too, in fairness most meter manufacturers will supply free batteries for their meters.

I have a Freestyle Lite meter, whose battery died last week. Abbott Diabetes Care used to send these out free, but when I rang, I was informed they are no longer allowed to send batteries through the post. That's a post office regulation, so Acu-check will not be able to either.

PS I had the right battery spare at home.

LITHIUM batteries cant be sent by post unless sent with a meter but other batteries such as AAA can as used in ac mobile

That may be correct with royal mail but ordered some today from accu chek and delivery won't be a problem as they always use a courier service and they are lithium batteries

Accu-chek will provide batteries via Parcelforce. Other manufacturers are using changes to justify withdrawal of free batteries. The same applies to pumps.
