Take care with a backup meter. I found it is only useful if it takes the same strips as my primary meter. On one occasion, my main meter failed so I went to use my backup only to find the strips were out of date.BACKUP METER ... have applied.
I've just had to throw out a whole new tub of 50 test strips I'd bought for codefree meter that just failed the day after purchasing the strips!!!! For comparison, my Gluco Navii strips are £5.76 a pot of 50, I note that the Ascensia site is not directly selling the strips.
