Hi. My mum is 80yrs old. Type 1 ...she's on novamix 30 14units morning 3 units teatime and an additional dose of 2 x 500mg metformin twice a day (total dosage 2000 a day) She's really unwell at the moment, very confused, sickness, diarrhoea, stomach ache, thirsty, hiccups. I'm not sure she should be on this high a dosage. Her readings vary from around 10 in a morning to 17-20 at bedtime.
