Free Prescriptions - How long does the card take to arrive?

My doctor filled the bits & bobs in, gave it back to me with my prescription & said to show the form to the chemist to get the precription filled for free before posting it off... the card took about a fortnight to arrive...

i have just applied for mine and they had to have the doctor sign it and authorise it to be sent of which they are doing and said its approximately 2 weeks before it arrives

2 weeks sounds about right, that's how long it took them to send mine.

I too thought only a Dr could sign it but when I was at my gp surgery the DN said she could and filled out the form, she wrote her qualifications next to her name and signature and all came back good and they never questioned it.
