Freestyle libre 2 alarms not working

My mum put a new sensor on last night, and went hypo today...she then noticed her sensor alarms weren't working, even though they're turned on. It says at the top that alarms only work when a new sensor is started. Has she done something wrong when starting this new one? How can we fix it?

If it’s a libre sensor I’d call Abbott. I’ve always found them to be helpful. And check with finger pricks until you’re confident it’s working.

It's actually notified of a high glucose level this afternoon, and it's made a noise to say alarms unavailable...but we've yet to see if the low alarm is working yet.
