It's great that the app now updates the readings in real time without the need to scan, I really appreciate that from Abbott. However, what an absolute shocker that they don't have a widget with this, that's what this update is crying out for.

Diet drinks - the artificial sweeteners taste vile.
Having to forswear foods I have loved all my life.
Trying to find low carb meals when eating out.
Just started my first sensor with the new software.
Looking good so far, but it would be better if it showed the reading on the lock screen instead of having to unlock the phone each time.
This means that, for example, you can't have it in a phone holder whilst driving and see your BG readings in real time.

I had a lot of problems after the update to librelink-2.10.1, then I had problems verifying a request to my bank (natwest) to add a card for the local minicabs. An hour or two later I tried to turn on the phone, but insufficient charge. A couple of minutes later the phone had gone from the initial recorded level of 50% to 56% and I could turn it on. Since then it had been working well when fully charged (leave it on charge, do things in another room on the same floor, readings and graphline showing when I turned it on. For the last two weeks it was very iffy about reading from a sensor on my right arm.

Turns out that phone was about 7 years old, so due for renewal.

Yesterday I got a new Samsung A14 - not the best, but should be adequate. Hours of fun trying to set everything up, got logged in to librelink, it said it could scan the sensor started on the old phone, but then showed me how to scan a sensor and would not detect the old one which still had 20 minutes left. OK, I can live with that and the loss of local history. Seemed to work well. Later I was offered an android update (June rather than April), so took that because the battery was charged, followed eventually by fun and games trying to restore the settings it had turned off in the name of saving battery life. It was working overnight, a couple of times I woke up and checked the readings without scanning. Then I woke up and there was no reading, with a signal loss indication - level was below 4 so I took 3 dextrose tabs and waited to see if they would be sufficient. I kept getting 'try again in 10 minutes' as if the rate of change was excessive, although on at least one occasion it did show the level rising in the normal range. Gave up, back to sleep. About 5 hours later I looked, reading was 15.1 and a blood test confirmed that.

Seems to be working ok for the moment, but it looks as if I took more dextrose than I'd noted - did I mention the phone was blanking after 15 seconds to save battery life ? - Still got various other apps to sort out, I think I've now got the librelink low alarm on a suitable setting, and different from the general notification alarm which was initially used and getting really annoying earlier today when email arrived.

It's a game, isn't it. I'm concerned about the number of 'try again in 10 minutes' - I had some last week on the old phone, but many of them were immediately followed by it displaying a reading.

when you get try again in 10 minutes on your phone screen turn off your phone and leave it for a few seconds not minutes and then turn it on and it should work fine it just needs to be rebooting and I have done it before when I got it a few times and it doesn't do anything to your software it just needs to be rebooted and it should work fine and you will be able to use it from there on as I use a iPhone 14 Pro Max and it was a bit of playing around with it when I got it and it's just the last thing you can always think of

I think the operation of android and iphones is different. I checked the level after eating a while ago, got the message to try again in 10 minutes, Made a note of that, came back to the home screen in librelink and it had a reading. I can accept the initial signal was outside the software's expected guess (it had gone from falling steeply to, when it then gave the reading, level after the meal kicked in and is now rising.

It’s working after deleting and re installing app, can you still scan with phone or is it all constant reading maybe a stupid question but hey that’s me . Right now it feels strange having to just open app and there’s the number ,like every other development will soon become normal , how did we ever survive years ago with no personal bs testing ,
as a note using iPhone 14 no issue with update other than having to reinstall app, oh and having to press the forgot password thing , old age doesn’t come alone
My Libre 2 doesn't scan anymore, I get the three buzzers when applying the new sensor when it decides to, never straight away but then doesn't scan at all but still gives readings so not sure if this is meant to happen?

Contact Abbott. It probably needs replacing if faulty

Coming back to this, is anyone else on android finding the reported level and trend can fluctuate wildly while looking at the phone for a couple of minutes ? This is not related to "oh, I ate something", nor to the 'I've just decided to get up, levels rise' situations. But often during the day (I'm at home) I will look, or scan if it has lost the signal, and make a decision about possibly eating based on the prediction. I thought the claimed prediction for a level arrow was something like ±2 mmol in 10 minutes, so seeing a change of 1.5 in 2 minutes, or the arrow changing direction, is disconcerting.
