Hi, i was looking on internet, you tube, and the postings on this site about the meter. Its expensive, but was trying to gauge the response from people before i think on getting one. The pros and cons about the meter. I would appreciate any feedback.

Ive looked at your comments emmotha, and thank you. Ive been diabetic for 21yrs now and the last several months have been a struggle, trying to get control of my BS. I never have a normal day, and it ends up that my insulin does what it wants. I carb count correct, and take the right RA insulin but find that hours later am still high, or hours later am having hypos.

Well I've not been diagnosed for 6 months and it's taught me a lot! So I guess it's never to late to learn new things :-)

Is echo Emmotha's comments. I've been diabetic for 26 years and this is by far the best testing device that has come on to the market in that time. It has allowed me to properly understand what goes on in a way that fingerpricks don't. CGMs have just been too expensive. I look forward to what appears from others and if I was Roche or Bayer, I would be constantly checking the Facebook group and forum topics to work out what to do better.

You didnt get too much info from the DN on these things, as there so busy, but if you do ask a question they sometimes help. You think this day and age they would have loads of devices that you can keep track on your BS every minute, i think it would be a good investment for myself with the busy lifestyle that i lead, instead of running somewhere to check my bloods, knowing am going low, lol
