Hi,

Hope somebody can answer a probably silly question......
A couple of years ago I trialled the freestyle libre and still have the reader. I'm almost certain I'm going to order a couple of sensors very soon (currently using dexcom G4 but losing patience with it) and wondering if my reader will still work or if Abbott have upgraded the readers? The serial number on my reader is
jgmw244-t0624

Thanks

Can't see what could go wrong with it. My meter is about 3 or 4 years old and is still going strong, and I have a very old phone with NFC and that's OK too. That's pretty well all the tech covered

Hi therower,
Although the Dexcom has helped me immensely with my Animas pump set up. It's the inconsistent readings against blood metre, constant calibration, lose of readings from transmitter and cost per month which have made me think about purchasing the freestyle libre.

Hi @mossys . Thanks for that.
I've only just started using the Dexcom ( 2nd sensor). I'm on mdi and have to admit I'm really enjoying using the dexcom.
Hopefully I won't encounter similar problems to yourself except the monthly cost:):):).
