I am in the same position as you back to the finger tester but how Inconvenient is it you don’t realise how much you rely on the libre back to the sore fingers for a whileHi there!
I am 24 year old diabetic, living with type 1 for 9 years in the UK
Today i realised my Freestyle Libre 2 sensor app would not work, kept showing me a blank screen.
Spent hours on hold to ABBOTT who have let me know they’ve had an issue with their update, and that they don’t know when it will be up and running again.
On the Apple App Store, it says it is unavailable in my country.
Luckily I have the trusty finger pricker to hand so will use that for the time being.
Was wondering if other people were experiencing the same thing as it’s causing me a lot of anxiety not knowing when it will be up and running again!!
There's a solution, which I posted above (#17), so you should be able to use the sensor againI am in the same position as you back to the finger tester but how Inconvenient is it you don’t realise how much you rely on the libre back to the sore fingers for a while
I deleted the app and reinstalled from my app installation history an all is working - though i have lost data on the phone - but its all in libreviewI am in the same position as you back to the finger tester but how Inconvenient is it you don’t realise how much you rely on the libre back to the sore fingers for a while
Thank you so much for your post - i've been struggling with this all day and on the phone to abbot for 2 hours on hold. This worked perfectly!
Been having this issues for many months now, they don't seem to be fixing it any time soon. I have lost all faith in this product now, I have been trying to get hold of them. It's ok replacing the sensors but when they all do the same thing it's pointless.Hi, I’ve got the same issue, blank screen today, I’ve spoken to helpline and they just said there’s a problem and don’t know when it will be resolved. I’ve got the Reader 2 so have put new sensor on and using the reader. Hope they resolve it quickly.
I solved the Libre issue yesterday. At an appointment at my diabetes clinic it turned out that my data wasn't going to their system as before. Their solution was to switch me from Libre to Dexcom One. OK, the screen isn't as pretty as the Abbott one but it works just as well. The only downside is that the Dexcom sensor has a ten-day life as opposed to Libre's fifteen, but it just means that the NHS will supply me with six sensors in a pack instead of four.
Thats interesting about the healing time and the sticking. I'm six days into my first Dexcom 1 (given the state of the world as reported on the TV news I'm struggling not to refer to it as Defcom 1!I find the 10 days more accurate as healing time is less round the sensor probe. I also find the Dex 1s stick better and I don't need additional patches to hold them on like I did on Libres.
