Freestyle Libre Sensor 2 app- Shut down

Today i realised my Freestyle Libre 2 sensor app would not work, kept showing me a blank screen.
Spent hours on hold to ABBOTT who have let me know they’ve had an issue with their update, and that they don’t know when it will be up and running again.
On the Apple App Store, it says it is unavailable in my country.
Luckily I have the trusty finger pricker to hand so will use that for the time being.
Was wondering if other people were experiencing the same thing as it’s causing me a lot of anxiety not knowing when it will be up and running again!!

I am in the same position as you back to the finger tester but how Inconvenient is it you don’t realise how much you rely on the libre back to the sore fingers for a while
 
I think the app update has turned the Libre 2 sensor into a proper CGM, instead of just Flash GM. I'm getting automatic data updates on my phone without scanning now!

There's a solution, which I posted above (#17), so you should be able to use the sensor again

I deleted the app and reinstalled from my app installation history an all is working - though i have lost data on the phone - but its all in libreview
 
I’ve updated IOS to 16.5.1 (c) and my app is working fine. I did uninstall and reinstall the app before the IOS update when ABBOT did the update. Initially kept getting no signal for sensor but today since last nights IOS update it’s been absolutely fine!

Hi. When doing the above, when you start the app back up do you need to start a new sensor? I only have one left. Thanks
 
hello , i have just joined this forum , i was looking to see what was happening with the new update problems . my husband put a post on detailing how he eventually got it sorted , i see quite a few other people have done the same . i have just recieved my email from freestyle Libre pity it was the day after my screen went blank . they have a lot of miss information on there site. it does work on iphone 7 for a start. I was worried i would have to buy a new phone to get the update . this technology is good whilst its working . I have been diabetic for 50 years and being diabetic back then seemed to be so much simpler to deal with . My Grand daughter is diabetic now and this new freedom of eating what you like when you like sounds good but is it ? all this correcting etc is a lot to deal with as a child ., im sure a lot of people do well by this new way of treating diabetes. i am very grateful that i have an alarm for night time lows. and yes it is handy to have the option of eating some thing extra pros and cons like all things.there is a lot to learn but dont be scared use your common sense , dont let it rule your life , its part of your life that you just have to take account of and everyone rebels sometime but make it only for a little time .not everything is written down and everyone is different , when i have more time i will tell you of a few things about how it was in the old days . before woke !

Been having this issues for many months now, they don't seem to be fixing it any time soon. I have lost all faith in this product now, I have been trying to get hold of them. It's ok replacing the sensors but when they all do the same thing it's pointless.
 
Are you on apple or android?? Have you updated the app or tried deleting the app and downloading again?? This seems to work wonders. Many people now have auto app update switched off and here is the problem.

Never had problems for ages after deleting app and reinstalling, Ive just got an old iphone 7 and touch wood its okay. Loss of signal is a different matter but just do levels check with the phone and its good to go again for a few days.
