Freestyle Libre sensors

I receive Freestyle Libre 2 on prescription from GP. Have you asked your GP?
Hi
I am also T2 on Insulin and Dapagliflozin. I am self funding the sensors when I can afford it which is not often.
I live in East Suffolk and the health authority here will not use the NICE guidelines purely as a guide and will not prescribe libre sensors for T2's on Insulin unless they have a physical or mental disability that makes finger testing difficult, have carers, or no hypo awareness.
My Hospital Consultant and GP agree using the Libre is helping me but are not allowed to prescribe at the moment.
It is a postcode lottery. It annoys me that a friend of mine in the Midlands who is T2 and on Metformin and Jardiance, no Insulin gets these on prescription without any issues.(good for her but the inequality is bad)
I have taken it up with my M.P. Therese Coffey who actually used to be Health Secretary and she is looking into it.

When I was using the Libre and ordereding via Abbott's website there was an option to claim VAT exemption.
