Freestyle Libre Starter Pack

I see that the sensors for this have been discussed on this forum quite recently, but I've just heard that the starter pack, reader and sensors, have started shipping again but only to those who have expressed an interest and there also seems to be a first come first served thing going on. So, if you expressed an interest last October, you could be lucky. I vacillated for too long and didn't register until last month. Anyone else heard anything?

Yeah I am interested in the starter pack but at the moment all it says is currently unavailable just wandering if it's going to be available again

As of last week they have begun to issue emails to people who signed up on the website. They are doing this on a 'first come first served' basis, so those who asked to be told when Libre was available to new customers in October/November 2014 will be hearing first.

I think you must make sure to register your interest.

I see that this has been moved to type I diabetes and I'm sure it will be a boon to all type I diabetics.

My father is type II, injecting insulin and because of his fear of needles the insulin injection using a pen is just about all he manages. I understand that a needle is involved with this device, but not so bad as using a meter. Yes, it might seem daft to think a little stab was a problem, my dad faints at the mention of the word.

So, not just Type I really, but no worries, it was only intended to be a FYI message.
