hello. I have been using the freestyle libre for a few months now, but I have recently been having itching around the sensor. I suffer with eczema, but I know it’s not my eczema that’s causing the itching. I was wondering if this has happened fo anyone else? It is the adhesive? Thank you :)

Hi and welcome @JadeGwilt

I'm one of the lucky ones who has not (so far) had a reaction to the Libre glue.
However, there was one particular sensor where I had itching around and under the glue disc, and I genuinely thought that I was starting a reaction.

But I eventually worked out what had happened - it was a combo of a new shower gel, and me being absent minded when I slapped the sensor on. 2 weeks of it being trapped under the glue proved irritating.

Somewhat amusingly, I had showered, rinsed, exfoliated, dried, alcohol wiped, dried again, and then applied the sensor. But I hadn't actually applied the sensor to the prepped target zone. haha!

Nowadays, I am more careful picking my spot, and have had no further problems.
