Having diabetes.
I have noticed that just recently I have begun to develop frequent cramps mainly in my fingers, but also in my legs and feet, has any body else had these problems and how I can prevent them.

there is alot things that could be causing this and nobody here is medically qualified to give a diagnosis if your concerned you should speak to your gp.
sorry I cant be anymore help.

Ok thanks for reply, got 3 monthly diabetes check next week will ask DN for her opinion.

It could be a lot of things.

You are on statins so check with doctor about side effects.

You are on a diuretic so, do you drink plenty. Dehydration can cause cramps.

Stress and hyperventalation can cause cramps.

These are only a few so you really need to check with your Doctor as he / she knows your medical history.

it might not be anything to do with diabetes but I would def mention to the dsn at your next appointment.
I get cramps in my hands aso but I have raynauds and I find wearing gloves indoors helps!
being to cold can cause cramps.
but please speak to the nurse and doctor and get it sorted out. :D

Spoke to doctor about night cramps, after fu

ll examination he couldn't tell me why I was getting the cramps, however he told me to drink plenty of water and precribed me quinine to take if the problem persists,he told me that he would send me for further tests if it continues.
