Hi aimee and welcome to the forum,:) I'm a little bit older than ten lol, I have a teenager at home, and I have grandchildren. One granddaughter is type 1, she is now six.

Hi there @ainee28,
Hope you're getting on okay. I thought I would tell you about an event coming up where you could meet loads of people with diabetes (unfortunately most of them will be grown-ups, but I know there are some children of your age coming along too) It's a diabetes 'conference' - which may sound really boring, but I think you may find that actually it's a useful way to meet many more people who know how it feels to have diabetes. Take a look at http://www.gbdoc.co.uk/gbdoc/Conference_2015.html Hey, if @Lily06 wanted to come along, you could use it as an opportunity to meet up! Anyway, have a think and talk it over. You would be very welcome! :)
