From a Hypo to a Hyper??

Hi there

Hope it is ok to post, I have posted in the welcome forum.

My Husband is T2 on tablets and once daily slow release insulin. Yesterday evening his BS was at 4.9 and despite eating chocolate it continued to fall. In the middle of this happening it was time for him to take his insulin which he did and his BS fell to 3.2. At this point he ate 2 glucose tablets and within 30 mins his blood was up to 6.3 and so we went to sleep. On waking this morning his BS was 5.8 and has slowly risen all day, but not to anything outrageous. This evening his BS is 22.5. I was aware that his BS could counter the hypo I just didn't expect it to be 24 hours later. Is this about right?

Wow I've never seen such extremities in type 2 before.
I would recommend seeing the g.p for further blood tests in this case. The only other time i saw something similar turned out to be excess fat around the liver, this was confirmed with a body scan.
African mango for cholesterol and milk thistle for six months improved this, again verified with a scan, and a congratulatory pat on the back from the doctor who said it couldn't be done so soon.
I hope you find the answer.:-)

Thank you for replying, all BS levels have settled back down again now so should be ok. Will be seeing the nurse in the next couple of weeks and will mention it then. :D
