Frozen Fiasp and Tresiba

Arrived in Thailand yesterday and put my Frio pouch containing 3 weeks Fiasp and Tresiba in the fridge overnight. The Frio bag crystals are a bit crunchy, so I think they're frozen. There are no air bubbles in the insulin so I think that's also frozen. Is it now useless?

Ouch, that isn't good.

Interesting article here
Frozen insulin may lose potency....

The manufacturers tell you not to use it if it's frozen
levemir
Do not freeze Levemir®. Do not use Levemir® if it has been frozen

fiasp
which has been frozen must not be used.

In your position I'd urgently try to source some new insulin. (How confident are you that the insulin is frozen - my pen cartridges don't have air in them so I don't know how you'd tell? )

I think you'll be able to buy new insulin, but not sure what brands will be available.

Good luck.

If the insulin was frozen it will be useless now.
But you might have been lucky and the insulin may not have frozen.
Can you test it with the Fiasp while keeping a close eye on your numbers?

If you're only away for 3 weeks, the frio will keep your insulin just fine, no need to risk hotel fridges again.

I have my fingers crossed your insulin isn't damaged!
