At 6:30 sugar was 9.6. Had 1 slice of toast with peanut butter at 7:30. Did a little exercise. In the morning. Checked sugar before lunch it is now 10.5. Now I am depressed and don’t want to eat but now am hungry. Normal for me is in the high sixes and low sevens. Just can’t get on an even keel. Help

@Penroy , many things can raise your blood sugars, you might be coming down with something. I got sick last fall and my blood sugars shot up to 17mmol/ls for the entire week without any food at all. My blood sugars are usually in range.

To keep my numbers in the right range, I don't eat bread, or any grain, and I am careful with legumes as they are quite high carb for me, even though they are listed as not too bad at all.
I understand that you don't have as many choices as I do as an omnivore - but are there foods you could use to replace high carb options when your numbers are already fairly high?

Sometimes even the stuff that seems fine, like toast, can throw things off. If you’re used to being in the low sevens and it’s spiking, it might help to cut out things like bread or grains for a bit, just to see if that helps balance things out. Exercise can do wonders but can also mess with your sugar, so it’s tricky.
