Future type 2 treatment.

So if T1s get their cure!
And T2s get the sleeve!

I'll be left to look after the site!

Hope it comes about though!

I've seen this mentioned before.

Much less invasive than sleeve or stomach stapling, but not something that appeals to me. I'm not in favour of rapid weight loss. Been there, done that, got several T shirts in varying sizes, and not interested in repeating it. Too hard on the body, and 20 yrs later I'm still paying for it.

Here's what worries me.

"Now a 24-month study run by Southampton General Hospital and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust will compare the Endobarrier against standard treatment on 160 obese people with type 2 diabetes."

Many things are better than the standard treatment handed out to T2's. Perhaps some of them should be given a try.

One example of what I mean is the advice handed out by dietitians to eat starchy carbs with every meal and I am thinking of framing the diet sheets that the surgery gave me.

Why not give out the right dietary advice ... Then there's no need to do this invasive procedure
