Gadgets for bloodsugar checking?

My bloodsugar control is terrible and I'm looking to buy something that helps specifically with checking - I don't mind how much it costs, I'm just wondering if anyone has anything/has expereince or recommendations?
I'm currently using a pump but find the checker difficult/annoying to use
Any help appreciated!

What pump do you use and what meter/checker with it? I have a pump but it doesn't have an associated blood test meter. I use what I want.

Are there any specific features you're looking for? Size? Ease of use?
 
Hi Beth as you have a pump you need to go right back to basics and basal test. This done by the hour with any blood glucose meter. It's most pumpers pet hate
 
Are you on the list for Freestyle Libre? If not, could be worthwhile?
