Gaining weight - help

Oh anie I wish it hadn't bothered! The last time it was that high was when I was diagnosed with fasting bloods. Infact my fasting bs was lower! Back down to 7.5 which is high for me but better than it was! Same happened the one time since I was diagnosed and had a curry with half a naan. I love bread but it doesn't love me! Nor rice. Nor pasta. Thank god for LCHF!

@Scandichic I hope you won't find yourself if that situation again, but I'd say one of the McDonald's wraps is probably better for you. I had to resort to one once on the motorway and ordered it without any dressings or relish so it was just plain chicken pieces with salad in a wrap and even though it raised my bs, they stayed in single figures.

I now always keep nuts and a 9 bar or 3 in my car. for emergencies

Hope the ankles go down soon. Feet up on the sofa for the rest of the evening for you ...:) Big hugs xx

Bless you Scandichic! I'm sure it's the combination of the things in life you mentioned- you will back on track I know, we are all here willing you on!!. Almost 5 weeks in and I've not strayed once out of my self imposed boundaries but from years of yo-yo dieting and almost calorie obsession at one point, somehow lchf seems to be satisfying and no "cravings" though I know if I did stray I would really downbeat on myself!! Regards weight, I don't own scales anymore........got weighed at diagnosis and said I didn't want to see the figures! There is plenty of me but with being 6ft 2 1/2 I get away with some of it! I'm going to ask Dn to weigh me next week and see if I've lost, my clothes tell me I have and a few comments at work too................ we will see!!

I have been eating a teaspoon of coconut oil every day. I started last week and when I weighed myself on Saturday I had lost 1 1/2 lbs after plateauing for 2/3 weeks for the second time. I forgot to have it at the beginning of this week and thought I would weigh yesterday to see if it made any difference not having the coconut oil and my weight was the same as Saturday. So I started the coconut oil again yesterday and this morning my weight had gone down - only 4 oz but at least it wasn't the same:) I had been eating fat bombs but that didn't seem to make a difference.
