Galaxy Watch FE and LibreLink app

Since January, I have been successfully using the Galaxy Watch FE to display BG data from the LibreLink app on my Motorola phone.
But a few weeks ago, the watch and app stopped communicating and, try as I might, I cannot restore that communication. This is frustrating because this function was the only reason I bought the watch.
I have had no help from the 'chat' assistants on either the Galaxy Watch (Samsung) site, or the Libre (Abbott) site.
It was suggested to me that the Galaxy Watch FE no longer worked with the LibreLink app, but I don't know if this is correct.
Could anyone with similar experience and / or a better technical brain than me, throw any light on the subject, or suggest a workaround? Ideally, I'd rather not buy a later version of the Galaxy Watch just to fix the issue. Thanks.

Do you know how this works exactly?

AFAIK the only way of doing this requires a third-party app either on the phone or watch or both. Being from a third-party means neither Samsung or Abbott will know anything about this app and both can make changes that breaks the third party app.

For example I have seen apps that require you to enable LibreLinkUP and download readings via that service, but this stopped working after Abbott updated their servers. Several times they have changed their terms and conditions which broke third party apps until the user logged into the official app and read and accepted the new terms and conditions Unfortunately sometimes the third-party app needed to be updated before it would work again.

It is also possible that Samsung have broken things. For example, I use an app called GlucoDataHandler which recently had an update and the description of the update is

"Workaround for problems with Samsung Galaxy Watches stopping GDH."

Although I use this app to send data to a watch, my isn't a Wear OS watch and uses a completely different process, so I can't really comment on how to get this to work with your watch.

But the app is being actively developed (see https://github.com/pachi81/GlucoDataHandler ) and I have found the developer helpful and responsive, so might be able to help you.
