REad that garlic helps with blood pressure and glucose so got some and took them for a couple of weeks but found that folk could smell garlic on my breath and I also burped garlic YUK. The question is are there any non smelly garlic pills out there and if so does anyone find the benefit from taking such a thing

Yes but go careful, as they thin the blood.

Partner was taking them and kept getting nose bleeds and we landed up in A&E after a bad one. He was advised to stop taking them as they thin the blood out - and in his case kept causing nose bleeds.

We used to buy ours from Tesco, Boots or any other pharmacy - just look for the odourless ones.

Yes they can borderter so always check first with your gp or pharmacist before taking.

I was taking a Kwai one-a-day garlic for over 15 years but stopped taking it around 4 months ago, they have a coating on the tablet so you don't get the after-taste that you get with some products.

Im type 2 & absolutely love garlic & have it in near on everything i make to eat.
the kids hate it when i make them something to eat due to this lol.

anyhow my question is this, does the real garlic have the same affect & thin the blood..? ive always suffered with nose bleeds even as a kid & well before i was diagnosed with diabetes,
at first sign of a cold my nose will bleed half dozen times a day until its gone so will garlic be adding to this problem.?

many thanks.

GP's, Diabetes Nurses.Crazy NHS guidelines on diet for Diabetics, they are seeing off millions.
Cheap Whisky !
borderter, what the heck did you expect from garlic ?
That is what is does, and one of the side effects is dog breath !
I love the stuff, don't get capsules, get the real thing and enjoy in just about anything you care to eat.
Ideally have a partner ( Oh I hate that word ! ) who indulges too, then there shouldn't be a problem, otherwise just tell people who don't like the smell to S*D off and get a life, or go and live in a Mediteranean country !

Have fun, Garlic rules OK ?

borderter, sorry if my reply yesterday was a bit off, but I had the 'ump about something else !

You are quite right about the odourless ones, although I don't know how that is achieved.

Enjoy the potential benefits of it.
