For those who suffer from gastroparesis do you wait until blood sugar starts rising before bolusing at meal times to avoid a crash if food isn't digesting properly ?
I have found often I don't even bolus at all for a low carb dinner (15g or so) as my blood sugar doesn't budge or even drops after eating.
I tend to correct hours later if it does eventually go up.
Very frustrating condition and was wondering how people handle this. I am finding lower carb makes me less nervous as there is less insulin to cause a low with such erratic stomach emptying.
