I wonder how it works, I mean I know its obviously stimulating the nerve, but in a heart it has to ensure that it beats so many times a minute?... how does that translates to stimulating the stomach...mmm interesting

It would stimulate the muscles of the stomach and gut to contract so increasing the peristaltic waves which pass food through the Alimentary canal.
