I am struggling to eat enough protein, according to Myfitnesspal recommendations. I dont eat red meat, or like eggs much. I am eating cheese, chicken, ham, tuna, salmon any other ideas please? I am trying to loss wight too, so have to watch how much fat I eat. I have reduced my carbs to under 120g a day. I have only been diagnosed about 12 days, so a newbie at all this.

Oh, and I cant eat nuts.

Myfitnesspal is recommending 62g of fats, and 140g of protein????????

I don't know anything about your weight or condition but, speaking generally, 140g sounds a lot. The general rule of thumb is for about 1.5g of protein per kilo of LEAN bodyweight (ie not your total weight).
If I were you I wouldn't rely solely on MFP's recommendations - it's really not set up for us low carbers.

I was told about half your weight for minimum protein e.g. 180lb = 90g protein

I really would not take much notice of MFP. If you have set your own carbs and fat consumption, it will make up any calorie deficit with protein. If you set your own protein and fat consumption, it will make up the deficit with carbs. It isn't intended for people on low carb. It is based on total calories required (according to your personal settings, exercise, height, weight, amount you want to lose etc)

If what you are eating is working for you weight loss-wise and BS-wise, and you aren't hungry or feeling poorly, I wouldn't worry.

Such a shame you don't like eggs. They are a boon to low carbers.

I concur. Using MFP I always set the Calorie goal, then working backwards from the Carb goal, Protein goal and then whatever is left is the Fats.

I like the link Robbity gave you. I am only eating about 35-40 g of animal/ fish protein a day and doing just fine. I also set my carbs below 20 and fill the rest in with fats like avocado olive oil and some pumpkin seeds. Mayo too.

Protein raises my bs as well so I keep the portions of everything small.
